Terms and Conditions

The Company refers to Claim a Car.Com. Sdn Bhd

“Claim a Car, Com” applies for the benefit of customers whose motor cars are involved in a motor vehicle accident or whose motor car has been stolen.

“Claim a Car, Com” applies to private and company cars only, and does not extend to coverage of commercial vehicles.

“Claim a Car, Com” is only applicable for customers in Malaysia.

Customer must be at least 18 years of age and must be in possession of a valid driving license.

The participation fees shall be charged according to the plan selected.

Commencement of the coverage shall become effective after the company receives Seven (7) working days from the time payment and particulars of the customer and time of commencement of coverage for registered motorcar for a period of one year. There is no limit to the number of times that a member may claim for a substitute car during any period of coverage if the claim for replacement arises from theft or accident involving customer’s motorcar.

Substitute cars will be of Malaysian make and models. Windscreen coverage will not cover under this programme.

The car substitute periods are inclusive of the collection and drop off days.

Only motor cars, which are below 15 years from the date of manufacture covered under this programme.

Irrespective of the distance in Malaysia that the accident or theft occurs, customers can have the use of a replacement car within 48 hours from the time of submission of a copy of the police report and copy of driving license to the Company.

Substitute cars may be collected from and returned to any of the Company’s collection centres, or any car rental service branch offices nationwide.

“Claim a Car.Com” is not transferable from person to person. In the event that the customer has divested himself/herself of his/her proprietary interest in the car that is registered with the Company, the customer must inform the Company immediately. The customer is then eligible to have coverage of the programme of any other motor car that is registered under the member’s name for the balance period remaining.

“Claim a Car.Com” is operative regardless of whether it is the customer who was driving the registered motor car with the Company or was in control of the said car at the time of the occurrence of the accident or theft, or some other person, whether with or without the knowledge and consent of the customer in question.

Customers are required to collect substitute cars within one (1) week from the date of the occurrence of the accident or the theft of the car in question.

The Company reserves the right to decline coverage in respect of cases where it is clear by virtue of police investigation, obvious visible signs and conduct or by other means that the driver at the material time, driving under the influence of intoxicants, liquor, drugs, or was engaged in any illegal or unlawful activities.

The Company shall be responsible for meeting the cost of repairs that are carried out for damage to any replacement car while it is in the possession of customer or at any time before he returns it at the specified drop off points should the quantum of the repairs exceed the sum of RM1, 000.00. Should the cost of repairs not exceed the sum of RM1, 000.00, the customer shall be required to settle such bills on their own.

The Company will not entertain any form of refund due to cancellation or termination by the participation for whatsoever reason.

In the event that a customer breaches any of the “Claim a Car.Com” conditions, the Company reserves the right to take any lawful action.
